The contest is centered on hands at I Heart Faces this week. I had a few photos I was mulling over, but finally decided on this one. I like it because it chronicles L's age, but also speaks the timeless trait of curiosity.

Angles and Flea Markets

While we were at a flea market today near our fairgrounds, I saw a neat backdrop for photos. J was kind enough to pose with L for me:). There were actually a ton of artistic backdrops right around the flea market, so I'm excited to have a new location for future shoots.

Studio Shots without a Studio

I’ve been trying to find places in my home to achieve a “studio-look” without investing in studio equipment. For this photo, I used a lambskin and a white wall located right beneath one of my northeast-facing windows. I love how the natural light seems to kiss L’s hair. I'm not so crazy about the shadowy effect on her face though, as it causes her eyes to appear much darker than they truly are.
