Hawley! {MD, DC, VA Maternity Photographer}

Hawley is just about 8 months pregnant and absolutely glows! She's shared her pregnancy with us on her wonderfully prolific, fun, and inviting blog.  I feel like I've been alongside of her the whole time, experiencing the precious joys and surprises alike. She was in town for a few days, so we went to the beautiful National Cathedral Gardens to capture a moment in her journey. It didn't feel so much like a photo shoot--more like a casual walk with a good friend.

I so very much enjoyed my time with you, Hawley! Can't wait to meet your Little Miss. Hope she'll cherish these photographs of her beautiful mama one day!

Dear Friends {MD, DC, VA Family Photographer}

I cannot tell you how dear this wonderful family is to us! We took a few minutes the other afternoon after lunch to take a few family shots (in commemoration of K's graduation). They have such joy, family togetherness, and incredible humor...capturing fun candids was as easy as pie!

You're all finished, K! Congratulations!

Straws

Little L LOVES straws. So she grabs them at any expense, which has cost her mother multiple drinks in the past week alone. She must like straws because she feels like she can completely control them. Can you blame her? We all love things we can control! Anyhow, I just love the walls in Robek's--perfect for kids shots.

I think she liked the juice as much as the straw:).

A Fantastic Family {MD, DC, VA Family Photographer}

Despite the heat this weekend, this was such a fun shoot! This family is such a vivacious, loving, and beautiful group! Their family dynamic is fantastic. We took hundreds of photographs during our time together. As usual I had a difficult time deciding which photographs to post, but here is a small assortment. Jake came along as a second shooter for this large group, and did an incredible job capturing candids; some of the photographs below are his.

Jessica {DC Maternity and Baby Shower Photographer}

I had the opportunity to shoot a baby shower in DC last week. It was such a fun event with incredible details, delicious food, a joyous crowd, and a glowing soon-to-be-mother!
