I dropped my camera on the cement yesterday. Yes, the cement. After a few loud, jolting bounces across the cement, it landed facing me right-side up--as if to say, "Go ahead. I dare you to try to turn me on." Little L witnessed the fall and was quick to reassure me: "It's okay, mama, camera broke, it's okay, oh well." OH WELL!? My sweet little L. I guess she hates conflict as much as me. Unfortunately, my camera is not okay...and neither is my husband (he doesn't mind conflict. haha). At any rate, my camera will now be taking an expensive four-week vacation to the Canon factory in New Jersey. Thankfully, my upgrade is due in the mail today (woot!) and I had the chance to capture some pictures of our sweet friends before my mishap. Happy Wednesday!

Little L just turned two! One of my lesser parenting goals is to design a birthday shoot each year for my children. We'll see if this continues as they multiply. We did a balloon-themed shoot for L last year and, despite our many trials, we did get one lovely shot. This year we landed on an old-fashioned tea party, complete with a vintage bike (her sweet little idea). L is quite a bit more interested in the camera and was happy to play along with our little styled shoot. Happy Birthday to our sweet little L!

It was such an honor to photograph Darci and Ty's gorgeous wedding last weekend. Everything about the day unfolded so beautifully and naturally, which is such an appropriate reflection of the way Darci and Ty love each other. As I glanced through the images after the wedding, I was excited to see how many images we captured of them smiling and laughing. But I wasn't surprised to see all of these joyous images--the couple's genuine joy was apparent the entire day. And Darci, I'll say what everyone else is thinking--you were a stunning bride. Absolutely stunning. Much love and appreciation to you both for inviting us to document your day.
